A Record Player About As Portable As You Can Get

GGRP have created an advertising mailer which is a record player that magically appears out of the cardboard sleeve of a 7″ record. See it in action here:

However, as with many seemingly new ideas, this one isn’t either. As Steve Roden from In Be Tween Noise kindly shows us.

Sony PS-F5 Direct Drive fully automatic turntable – eBay (item 230444707963 end time Mar-10-10 04:36:39 PST).

time*inc, eBay seller of aforementioned repro battery covers is also currently selling a dead PS-F5 for spares or repair with a buy it now of $224.99

And decobob’s PS-F5 with its (slightly tatty) original box is up again with a Buy It Now of $550.
